BALCO commemorates 72nd Republic Day with fervor and gaiety
Korba (Balconagar) January 28, 2021: Commemorating the day when the Constitution of India came into effect, BALCO celebrated its 72nd Republic Day with enthusiasm following all the guidelines of safety. Mr. Abhijit Pati, CEO & Director, BALCO, led the Republic Day celebration & unfurled the National Flag at Aluminium Bhawan.
In his address, Mr. Pati while giving heartfelt greetings and best wishes to BALCO family for the Republic Day said, “The objective of our constitution is to achieve justice, freedom, equality and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood and unity among the people living in the vast demographics of the country. Development of a country is a continuous process and BALCO has been a constant contributor in making the nation self-sufficient in the aluminium sector by. BALCO is committed to taking the operational excellence to greater heights to emerge as the global benchmark in making Aluminium and earnestly remain committed to nation-building. Our company has established its special recognition in the industry by increasing its production capacity by about six lakh tonnes per year. We are also committed to emerging as the world’s best, lowest cost, most energy-efficient, and sustainable aluminium producer, and a partner in progress to our nation. Human capital is our strongest asset and employees working in BALCO have established new dimensions of development in their five and a half decades with their dedication.”
Mr. Pati praised the solidarity maintained by BALCO family during the challenging times of the pandemic. He also expressed gratitude towards the frontline warriors for keeping everyone safe throughout the pandemic. Mr. Pati told that Vedanta group is one of the first organizations in the country to start the first phase of COVID vaccination for its medical personnel & healthcare staff.
Mr. Debabrat Mishra, Chief People Officer, BALCO presented the Vote of thanks. The members of senior management BALCO were present on the occasion.
