NTPC Korba organizes Prabhat Pheri and pays tribute to the Father of the Nation at NTPC Korba Township under ‘Swachhata Pakhwada 2023 – Swachhta Hi Seva’
Korba. As per the guidelines of the Government of India, Swachhta Pakhwada is being organized by NTPC Korba from 01 October to 15 October 2023 under the Swachh Bharat Mission. On this occasion, B. Ramachandra Rao, Business Unit Head, NTPC Korba, took oath on the occasion of Swachhta Pakhwada-Swachhta Hi Seva on 01 October 2023.
During this fortnight, on 2 October 2023, NTPC Korba organized Prabhat Pheri at NTPC Korba Township and also paid tribute to the Father of the Nation. NTPC Korba unitedly cooperated for one hour for Prabhat Pheri.
Prabhat Pheri was led by B.R. Rao, Business Unit Head, NTPC Korba. On this occasion, Madhu S., General Manager (O&M), Somnath Bhattacharya, General Manager (Operations), Manish V. Sathe, General Manager (Ash Dyke Management), Prabhat Ram, Additional General Manager (HR) and other senior officials, Employees, Union and Association members, NTPC Korba team were present.
In this sequence, everyone paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 154th birth anniversary at Pragati Club of NTPC Korba Township. The importance he gave to cleanliness inspired the public for cleanliness. Everyone wishes that his ideas enable every human being to promote unity and harmony in today’s world and that his timeless teachings continue to illuminate our path.
It is noteworthy that during Swachhta Pakhwada, various types of awareness programs and competitions are being organized in NTPC Korba.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a Swachh Bharat Mission of the Government of India that supports making India clean. The campaign was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and launched on 2 October 2014 to honour Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of Swachh Bharat.
